update & a lens question

  • Listening to: bodybag - hit the lights
    had a lesson today on a different horse, his name was brownie (haha, cheesey name award). normally i would ride lenardo but i'm giving him a couple weeks off of jumping, just because i'm paranoid about that quarter crack. 7 months off will do that to you...

    so anyways, it was an interesting lesson. we ended up jumping 2'9-3', which isn't big, but it's more than i've done in a while. he's a really good horse, i'm pretty sure he'll jump anything you point him at. and he's been jumping nothing but crossrails for the past couple of months, ahah.

    but blaaah.

    i have a lens question!
    i'm looking into a somewhat smaller lens. i have a couple of lenses in mind:

    Nikon 18-200 mm

    Nikon 55-200 mm

    the second one is a lot cheaper, which will be good because i'm trying to save up money so i can show a lot this summer. is the only reason it's cheaper because it starts at 55mm? all of the reviews have good things to say, and it's not an unreasonable price at alllll.

    so far i'm leaning toward the 55-200mm... i'm just sick of lugging around my gigantic 70-300mm lens and not even needing that much zoom.

    hmm. any input?


    (the temperature has been skyrocketing... we're in the hundreds. Dx)
